Humanistic Buddhism is “what the Buddha taught, what is essential to human beings, what purifies, and what is virtuous and beautiful.”
Welcome to the
Humanistic Buddhism Centre
Since its establishment in December 2014, the Humanistic Buddhism Centre (HBC) has been committed to promoting the research and development goals of Humanistic Buddhism broadly construed. The Centre identifies and undertakes innovative projects that contribute to the scholarly and teaching communities, both Buddhist and secular. Besides facilitating inter-disciplinary research and courseware development that contributes to the Nan Tien Institute’s teaching programs, the Centre also participates in outreach programmes such as colloquia, workshops, practicums, and exhibitions.
This website collects resources on Humanistic Buddhism that will be useful to scholars and educators.
